Lipik (Croatia)
Lipik, in Croatia has Roman roots, but became better known in the 16th century. In 1861, Count Julija Janković sold the entire estate to a French company which built a railway from Lipik to Vienna, which was a catalyst for the development of Lipik as a fashionable spa town. The Lipik region is also famous for breeding Lipizzaner horses in nearby Izidorovac.
