Amazing Spa Towns of Europe TV Series

Historic Thermal Towns are on TV!

A new Travel TV series directed and produced by Globetrotter TV was launched on Friday 4th March! The “Amazing Spa Towns of Europe” series, filmed in seven of the Association’s member towns working with the UK-based Travel TV company, was  screened on SKY TV in the UK initially, before going online on the Globetrotter TV platform and YouTube.

The filming took two weeks, and covered nearly 4000 km, visiting seven historic thermal towns, five of which are part of the Great Spa Towns of Europe, a new World Heritage Site which was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in July 2021.

Globetrotter TV has been broadcasting high quality travel programmes for the last five years for online and broadcast viewers, with an award-winning team.  They  work with the close co-operation of national and regional tourist boards, tourism organisations, travel partners and tourist attractions from around the world.

The Globetrotter TV team has a wide experience of both the broadcast and travel industries, and its award winning creative and production team are widely respected within those industries.

The trip took in all that Europe’s historic thermal towns have to offer, from magnificent buildings housing thermal and mineral water springs, to parks and gardens and the wider landscape.  Local gastronomy and tourism attractions also feature in the series, which will be broadcast weekly from March 4th, and then will be available online for many years, eventually reaching an estimated audience of 9 million viewers in total.
